There's lots to love about Youlgrave Preschool located in the picturesque Village of Youlgrave, Derbyshire. We’re a small setting Maximum of 25 Children per day age ranging from 1 year to 5 years, We are proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your children. By following our goals, vision and values, we create a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming learning environment for all children.
We allocate each child with a key worker or two they will be there to help, guide, support and get to know your child and family to make sure all your child's development stages are been correctly tailored to in setting and outside of setting. Your child's key person shall provide updates on how your child is getting on in setting using tapestry and parent hub.

Our setting is made up of different rooms and areas including, Baby room (1-2 year olds), Preschool room (2-5 year olds), sensory/calming room located in the Preschool room, 2 outdoor play areas located on Preschool grounds. We also offer Forest Schools on and Monday and Thursday taking it in turns with the different age groups (2-5 year olds) this is located in nearby woodland area.

Our Rooms
Baby Room 1-2 year olds
Our Baby room is made up of a small group of babies age range of 1-2 year olds.
Our baby room is filled with happiness, textures, different sounds and colours all to encourage early development and encourage sensory play. We have a peaceful area during nap times with safe sleeping equipment.
Sensory/Calming Room
Our Sensory/Calming room is a quiet, clear space for children to go when they are feeling over whelmed, sad, happy or just want a little time out. We have sensory lights, boards and related activities located inside to create a calm, collective area.
Preschool Room 2-5 year olds
Our Preschool room is our main room, this is made up of different areas, book corner, movement mat, construction area, role play area, arts and crafts, messy play, numbers and phonics all activities are based around our children's interests and individual needs. We love to encourage positive behaviour in Preschool we do this by having golden rules and a rewards system where the children are able to operate it themselves when doing something great..

Tuesdays: 9am - 3.25pm
Wednesdays: 9am - 3.25pm
Thursdays: 9am - 3.25pm
Fridays: 9am - 3:25pm
